First thing I noticed was the land dosent appear to be level… is it the
camera or is it really unlevel? Sometimes your camera has a fisheye effect.
Thanks
I have access to a Zip-Wire with a Winch.
Is easy to set up & saves your back moving logs etc.
Attach a Pallet to shift Tools & Aggregates.
Is great when the ground is soaked through.
Am sure you could knock one up on the cheap!
This is so exciting! I have some thoughts and questions for you.
1. It might be a neat idea to mount a time lapse camera to the top of a
tree somewhere and get the whole project on a time lapse from up above.
2. Was this filmed recently? Or is it a few weeks behind like the garage
videos?
3. Are you going to have electricity and plumbing in the cabin?
4. It might be a neat idea to make a facebook fan page or an instagram or
something so you can upload a quick progress picture here and there.
I’ll be sure to share these videos with my viewers, I’m sure they’d be
interested in a project like this. I’m happy you’re gaining a lot of
subscribers, when I started watching your videos, you had less than 100.
This is going to be great! Love your videos, even the pellet pallet puzzle
and leather seat installs. Question, how far along on the cabin are you?
When you say you want feedback/ideas etc., maybe you’ve progressed beyond
where our comments and suggestions would be relevant (not that I would have
any good ideas you’d miss out on…but others’ ideas)
You could use an Alaskan mill to mill the trees. It’s basically a Stihl
660 with a huge bar and chain on it and a jig that allows you to cut the
logs at a consistent thickness so you can make dimensional lumber or beams
or whatever you need. They run about $1500.00 for the rig.
It’s good to see you have some company because after so many videos seeing
you working solo in the garage talking to nothing than a camera it makes me
wondering you see enough people!
One option is to buy a wood-mizer or similar bandsaw mill and sell it when
done. You may even be able to find a used one. They make fast work of even
smaller lumber. Much nicer than running an Alaskan mil all day, easier on
your back too.
If you thought MyGarageBuild is good, you will LOVE this. How to build a
camp…
Interesting.!!! We have followed your GarageBuild from day 1… Looking
forward to your Camp/Cabin Project.!!!
Wow this is going to be awesome. I am glued already!
