You button that wall up yet. The NEC doesn’t require a switch…but if you
put a light on the fan, you might want a switch for that! Typically near
the entrance of the room.. I am sure I am too late…but.
I decided that I didn’t want a switch in a wall. Even at the entrance to
the room. I already have lights with a switch at the entrance, and the
fan/light has a switch on it already. The desire to use that light is
usually a decision made right under the light, and I can’t stand having to
walk over to a wall to flip the switch then pull the cord. :) But thanks
for letting me know about the NEC not need a switch, phew!
More comedy in this video haha. You don’t put the smokes on it’s own
circuit because if you do it’s easy for people to turn the breaker off. If
the smokes are shared on the same circuit as a common area people aren’t
tempted to turn the breaker off. If you put them on their own breaker
people will forget and leave the breaker off. Also that ceiling box for
your ceiling fan is not rated/listed to support a ceiling fan. You have
lots of other issues but that takes too much of my time.
Are you going to remove those triangle braces?

I am not going to remove those braces. I like the extra support in that
spot.
