Ok so as you probably imagined, my brain, immediately went to, how can i
build on myself. The answer is probably simple. Metal can, flexible metal
hose. Seal the lid, drill two holes, put a baffle in front of the “out”
port to keep ashes from be sucked out. Probably make the baffle out of a
super thin metal screen, to also filter the larger particles as well.
Thanks for the idea!
You know, I don’t really think I do. It doesn’t affect performance, and is
just a royal pain. if I start to notice performance degradation, I’ll clean
it out, but it really just likes to chug along and do it’s thing. :)
Well, the better!!! Having to “shut down” the boiler isn’t that conveniant
because of loss of heating capability!! I thought the boiler would perform
less with ashes building up but if that is not the case; why bother about
it!!! At the moment I’m constructing a platform to reach the chimney on the
roof of my house!! These metal chimneys in combination with build up of
creosoot from a woodstove are dangerous when not cleaned properly; so
that’s another concern than hightech pelletboilers!!
Yesss!! Let grab the project!!! It’s raining now so I can prepare my set up
of camera and computer and follow the building proces while it’s happening
here in the southern hemo!!! Saludos!!!
i quit burning pellets because natural gas is way cheaper here in N,Y, i
don’t miss pellets , 4.79 a bag .when i first started they were .75 cents a
bag. thanks
I would rename the video ashes in a plastic bucket just for kicks. Thanks
for the vid.
I use an Ash Vacuum to clean out the fire. It connects to any vacuum
cleaner. I highly recommend them. Is also used on the Chop-Saw for dust
control.
I like this idea. :)

Out of curiosity, how do you dispose of your ash? Short of burying it I
haven’t got a clue & after years of doing so it really mounts up!
I dump it on my driveway when it’s icy. It’s 1/4 mile long, so it’s spread
out quite a bit.
Whoops split personality. Yeah, i just dump it on the driveway or burying
it works.
I think you need to do this cleaning a bit more often!!!!

What! Doing all that work, where’s the video? Come on mate, you can do it.
Setup a camera let’s see it! :)

Great real life video man!
Thanks man! I struggled with whether or not to post it cause it was so
disjointed

I would like to know what the total cost to build this garage was, and the
total sq.ft. was? Thanks.
