Dude!!! You’re the man, nice garage. You inspire me to build mine myself.
I’m going to try to build a 24×30 2.5 car garage in my backyard. I don’t
have those trucks, but I originally hoped to have a friend of mine GC it
and get the shell built. I would, in turn do the sub-panel, all wiring, and
any plumbing needed. I’d finish the inside sheetrock, etc. as time went on.
Where are you located?
Now you just need to share your plans so we can see if anyone else can do
it as well as you did. What in the world do you do for a living that would
allow you to afford to build such a monster of a garage? It looks totally
incredible. Videos were funny too.
Yes, it is impressive. I am a builder myself and to see someone take on a
project of that size and to finish on that time line with little experience
in construction and a full time career along with raising a daughter is
simply amazing.
Thanks Ruben. I really do appreciate, and upload these videos just because
of people like you commenting like this. It’s what keeps me going uploading
these. I’ve really appreciated your comments, thoughtful, helpful,
informative. Thanks very much!
I didn’t notice any re-bar in your slab of concrete. I’m assuming this is
because it would interact with your PEX tubing. Can you comment on the
necessity of re-bar in your slab especially any concern with the future car
lift in the center bay? Thanks!
+mudhound0530 You are correct. There is no rebar in the slabs. Rebar
could have been in the slabs, or the wire fencing they use as well, and it
would have been perfectly fine with the pex, in fact it’s nice to use the
fencing to tie the pex off to and keep it from floating in the slab. My
slabs have a fiber added to the mixture at the factory. This eliminates
the need for the rebar and also fills the requirement for the lift which
was 3000psi 4in concrete. Good question, thanks!
I know what it’s like to work alone but I like it and only bring in
occasional help whenever I need it as you did. I don’t know if i’d have
the patience to do so much video as you have done. it’s all very cool,
mistakes and all (joists hangers, LOL) Well done over all!
Thank you for all your videos. I’m getting ready to build a 3 car garage
and your videos and comments are making me rethink how I’m going to build.
BTW… nice job and you made my son and I lol at times.
I’m in awe of this…I’ve binge-watched these first 100 videos over the
past two days. Definitely inspiring for a future not-so-big garage project
I have penciled out.

Amazing video. If I didn’t live in a city, I would definitely do something
like this with my dad. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! You definitely should! It’s great fun.
