Not sure who your phone company is. But the telephone company I work for
moves your NID for free. Mount the nid on the outside of a building that
way you don’t have to be home to provide access if you ever have to have a
service call.
yeah telephone company does it for free. they also get real pissy when you
do stuff yourself to their wires. you should also have a ground wire
running to a lug. on the nid lots of telco guys get lazy and doen’t do
this but it is what keeps your telephones and attached items from blowing
up if a lightning stricks a pole even miles away.. secondly the bundled
cable you ran is rated for indoor use not burial it is not waterproof i
may be wrong on that one but i am pretty sure

Well, I never called them to ask. Mainly because I didn’t want to get a NO.
