Really cool video….interesting to see your ideas put into a virtual,
almost tangible, form…great job as usual, sir.

Yeah this was about 40k all said and done. Siding was wicked expensive, and
    the foundation was as well.

I have been working on plans for a garage of my own. Althouh my garage will
be three bays like yours, it will only be one floor. I’ve watched all your
videos on the construction of your garage, and find them very informative.
What layout instruments did you use? I have a David White ALT6-900
Level-Transit that I will be using for my build.

David, That sounds like a nice transit. I didn’t use any layout
instruments. We (the concrete guy) and me did use a string pulled off the
house to get the garage parallel with the house. Thanks for watching all my
    videos that’s quite a feat in it’s self! :)

I just want to say thank you very much. I’m an aspiring DIY’r and you’ve
been an inspiration. I stumbled upon your channel while researching the
Rockwell Jawhorse and have since been tuning into your garage build
chronicles. What a great idea! You also have a few vids trying to explain
your actions to a few naysayers which is unfortunate. I hope that negative
feedback won’t sway you from making more videos because they’re one of a
    kind… really. Thanks again

For Mr. David Hammon, I am a carpenter (Licensed General Contractor) here
on the west coast and the layout instrument of choice is PLS “Pacific Laser
System”. The finest in layout tools. Great video so far, thank you for
    sharing all your hard work.

Thanks for watching! A laser transit would have been nice! My buddy, who
builds pools has one, I have used them before.

    This isn’t a garage… It is a man-fortress.

I’m astonished at what you’ve done on your own! I’m not trying to be a
sideline critic, but did you have any of this engineered by an architect?
Are you planning on having cars on the areas supported by joists? Much of
it seems to be done on the fly, “I might put another stud here, I’m not
sure” kind of comments make me concerned. As someone who also wants to
build their own dream garage, I’m trying to pick up what I can from you.
    Thanks for your time!

Wonderful video, have you gotten around to installing a lift? I have been
recently looking at some myself for future ideas and they seem to run
around $1.5-3K for a decent 10K pound truck capable lift, so nowhere near
as expensive as I originally thought. This video has given me good ideas
for my own future design plans.

is there anything that you would change in your design??? I have watched
all of your videos and I have taken a few ideas from your videos, thanks. I
am looking at putting up a two car garage with a three season porch above
it this summer. enjoyed your videos, keep putting them out…
