It was 5am and I was sipping my coffee and browsing the internet when I heard a huge explosion and the showering of glass on the tile floor. I was awake and un-jet-lagged from a recent easterly vacation, and glad as waking up to that sound would surely ruin my week. I ran down stairs expecting a huge speed boat full of moose had just crashed through the house and I was going to find death and destruction all over the place. (I have an active imagination, what?) I knew by the time I got to the bathroom it was the shower because small glass shards had slipped their way under the crack beneath the door.
