That’s not just a tool!!! That’s a Powertool!!!! You surely can put alot of
pressure on the most resisting side of the board!!! Maybe with a helping
hand and a rod you could fix it too but then you damage the sides easily
and now they stay perfectl!!! Congratulations again!!!!
I think the reason why everyone looked at you funny when you asked for a
board straightener was because they don’t exist. Now that you invented one,
you should go back to the lumber yard and show them what you were talking
about, because until now, carpenters were just wedging there cat’s paws or
chisels into the rafter against the board the wanted to straighten and just
pry. We need more people like you to transition into construction to help
us evolve to were the rest of humanity is.
:) The more I think about it, the more, I just adore building stuff. I feel
very much alive and at peace when I’m building. I feel very dead, fixing
computers, which is what I “do”. I live to innovate, change, create. Who
knows, maybe I will move to the construction industry, see what I can
shift, break, and fix. :)
Too bad tongue and grove paneling is made to be blind nailed on the tongue
then cover with the grove and since your tool blocks the rafter, you have
to face nail. Have fun filling all those nails holes.
In your video on how to make the tool, you mention that you always wanted
to be an engineer. I am an engineer, and I must say the tool is brilliant!
Great engineering.
Ran across your garage build vids and really like what you have done. Like your style. love your tool for the warped pine..i am a Vermonter and want to build a garage this year. Need workshop space for sure..We have like 0 dollars . Have land and trees and rocks.. thought of doing the Alaska saw mill thing to make the siding..
any thoughts on that? best to you.
Hi Diane,
Thanks very much. So funny, I think the alaska saw mill idea is great, in fact it I was planning on building a DIY home saw mill to build the garage, but decided it would be months of building the mill, and then months of making the lumber, and I could have the building built in that time, which I did. But the chainsaw mill for siding is the perfect way to go. Good luck!

Could you knock up a quick diagram please Adam?
Oh man. That’s a good idea. I’ll see what I can do.
EFFING Brilliant!!!!
where did you buy the pine from?

Pretty cool.
You left out the really cool process of how to build and building the de
bower. Still very clever

Can you show how you made the tool to get the board tight? Thanks
they do make them but i guess i understand trying to get someone to
understand. I use this for building decks all the time and it says it will
work on t&g.

Very good. Yours was much less expensive than the retail version. A+++
please provide the schematics for building one of those cool tools, or a
website where I can buy one from you!
