Hey Adam, Love your video on the pro 8000 lift. It was like watching myself for I’ve done everything as you including building the garage. You’re right the instructions suck on the lift. I have the pro8000 and can’t seem to get the lift to rise evenly. The back wants to lift before the front with the car on it by an inch or so. Have had the lift for 5 years and car went up once and then left on lift for storage. No real stretching of the cables or wear. Decided to put all new cables on the lift. Not an easy task. My ramps are dead on level front to back and side to side. All locks lock into place at same time. Just don’t know why the backend always wants to raise before front. Floor is somewhat level, but adjusted ladder locks to be level with the crossbars locked into place. Left rear cable is just long enough to go through top plate for only one nut. I have one nut on top and one under on all top plates. Called supplier of ramp and they were no help. Loved your videos and thought I’d reach out to you for any hints. Thanks, Jeff
JEFF!
I FEEL YOUR PAIN. My lift does the SAME THING. Dead level without a car but put a car on it and one end is lower than the other, and there is a perfectly logical reason why. The cables for one end are way longer and they stretch a tiny bit. I’ll see if I can do a video on this. I have just dealt with it. The only thing it bothers is the safety catches sometimes don’t click in which sucks. uggh. If you just use it for one car, I would level it with the car on the lift, then it’ll be perfect.
