Changing the brakes on a 2004 Acura TL

I set out to change the brake for the first time on my 2004 Acura TL. It has easily the simplest brake setup I’ve ever seen, although it still gave me a bit of trouble.

Most of the job went as planned, but upon inserting the new brake pads I really had to force them into the caliper. Truthfully I ended up hammering the pad in, and I’ve regretted doing that, although I have no basis for the regret. I just think it will be problematic as the brakes wear down, I hope that side doesn’t wear prematurely. Only time will tell, or I’ll just take it off and grind the pad down a bit so it fits better.
